valley view (2017)

valley view was a cul de sac near the street i grew up on, and the album art is, well, the view of the valley. every now and again i'd go on walks and go sit on the rock and think, figuring it made me seem cool and aloof in my teens. i'm sure it just confused the neighbors.

this was the first time i really took making music seriously in any capacity, and these tracks are basically me learning how to use FL Studio. '~desu ★' was actually the first completed track i made, using far too many samples from Super Smash Bros. Melee, but i figured 'Bubbles' was the better first track.

these tracks rely pretty heavily on an old Cute Girls Doing Cute Things sample pack, and this AcesToAces guide

fun fact: 'Bubbles' once got radio play on a student-run radio station from Harvard. i found this out through the bandcamp metrics page and was absolutely baffled.

also, 'Undercover' marks the last time i would use MusicMaker Jam, which i used to make the tracks on Empty Houses, Dead Streets.
